APPLICATION SUBMISSION PROCESS

Going to Hungary? Follow the below mentioned quick steps to apply for your visa:

Step 1 – Identify your visa
The first step is to choose which visa type you need, and make sure whether you’re eligible to apply for it.

Step 2 – Prepare your visa application
You can also download the visa application form Schengen Visa-Short Term Click Hereand National Visa-Long Term Click Here. fill it, print the completed form, and bring it with you to the Visa Application Centre for submission.

Step 3 – Please bring the documents as per checklist Click Here to know the required documents for your visa.

Step 4 – Book appointment
Once you are done with the document arrangements and application filling. Please book your appointment Click Here to visit our Visa Application Centre on scheduled date.
Upon booking your appointment, you’ll receive an appointment confirmation email along with the letter of appointment.

Step 5 – Submit your visa application and pay your visa fees.
Visit the Visa Application Center on scheduled date along with all the required documents and original passport.
You would be required to make the payment of visa fee, service fee & fee for optional service(s), if availed at the time of submission.

Step 6 - Biometrics enrolment.
You would be required to give biometrics enrolment at the time of submission of your application in the Visa Application Center.

• Children below the age of 12 years (On the day of submission) are exempted from giving their biometrics in Schengen Visa.

Step 7 – Status tracking of your application
Your application will be sent to the Embassy of Hungary in Canada for decision making. The status of the application can be tracked through our website or by contacting our call center or you can avail SMS service. You will receive SMS alerts on the registered mobile number.

From the date of receipt of application at the Embassy of Hungary, it takes 45 working days to process the visa application. The duration of days when the application is in transit between the Visa Application Centre and the Embassy are not counted.

Note: The application must arrive to the embassy within the period of 15 days to 6 months prior to the intended date of departure.

Step 8 – Collection of your passport
You can collect your passport from Visa Application Center where the application was submitted, or opt for courier at the time of submission for delivery of your passport at your desired address.
If you wish to collect your passport from visa application centre, please bring the following documents at designated hours:

• Original receipt
• Original identity proof
